2 Information : Visit the Yakutiye Medrese and Erzurum church. Drive through the mountains to Kars, beside the gorge of the Aras River. In the afternoon set out for the lost Armenian city of Ani near the border. Return to Kars and visit the Church of the Apostles, Tas Kopru and Kars Castle. Overnight in Sim-Er Hotel (4 star) in Kars. Breakfast & dinner included.

4 Information : Drive along the lively Firtina River to the little town of Camlihemsin and then hike to Zil Castle built in the Byzantine period in the 14th century. 8 Information : This morning visit the Ayasofya Museum built in the 13th century by King Manuel I as a church. Later proceed to the Sumela Monastery, within the border of Macka Altindere Village, on top of a black hill, built inside a natural stone cave. The monastery, built in the 4th century, was expanded in the 6th century. During the Ottoman period, the monastery was honoured by orders for the protection of its foundation and rights. Dinner and overnight in the hotel in Trabzon. Breakfast & dinner included.
