Day 1 Information : There's nothing quite like it: getting up before dawn, just enough time for a quick coffee, then climb into an all-terrain vehicle and set out for the launch site. As the sky lightens, you watch a pile of fabric the size of a small car become a huge, graceful balloon. Standing in the basket beneath, your pilot turns a valve, flames roar upward into the void, and you lift off into the chill morning air to float across the Cappadocian landscape just as the warming sun makes its way above the horizon... Cappadocia is simply one of the best places in the world to take aflight in a hot-air balloon. Flight conditions are especially favourable here, with gentle winds most days between April and November. The views are fantastic: deep canyons and lush fertile valleys provide the balloons with an ideal playground for a fascinating flight, gentle winds carry the balloon over places which could never reached except by air. Flights take place daily at dawn (weather permitting) - the gentle and stable wind conditions are ideal during the first few hours of the day in Cappadocia. It is also the best time for photography, with splendid cotrasts. Every flight is a cocktail of events, dipping down to pick apricots from a tree in flight and soaring above the landscape, picking out landmarks never noticed before. The flight is followed by a traditional champagne toast.
